January has a way of leaving marks.
It’s loud… it’s heavy, and it’s full of pressure … pressure to start fresh. We put the expectation to change everything overnight, become someone new in thirty-one days.
But life … well it just doesn’t work like that.
For me, the end of January brought a lot.
Personally and Emotionally. It was the kind of things that don’t fit neatly into a calendar reset. Things that don’t disappear just because the month changes.
And yet…
Here we are.
Moving along. Still standing.
Into the second month of 2026… February.
Not a finish line and definitely not a clean slate.
But a step forward.
Letting Go Isn’t Always a Clean Cut
February, is about letting go of what doesn’t serve us.
We talk about breaking free. Severing ties. Cutting the weeds that wrap around our ankles and keep us stuck in place.
And yes, sometimes that’s what it takes.
Sometimes you have to push through, you have to break the wall.
Sometimes the only way out is force.
But Most of the time.. It’s not that easy.
Some weeds have roots. Deep ones…
Some ties are wrapped around parts of you that are still healing and you don’t always get to cut them cleanly.
Sometimes you have to loosen them slowly.
Sometimes you have to be graceful with the process.
Because growth isn’t always about ripping something away.
Sometimes it’s about learning how to release without tearing yourself apart.
Break Through… But Brace Yourself
So lets take a deep dive, there’s a balance here.
We want freedom, but we also need protection.
You want momentum, but you need steadiness.
That’s what I mean when I say you must know when to break through…
and when to BRACE FOR IMPACT.
Because even good change can be overwhelming.
Even forward motion can trigger anxiety.
Even the act of letting go can feel like standing on the edge of something unfamiliar.
Some days the weight feels unbearable, while others it feels lighter than air.
Some days everything is tangled.
Other days you feel the momentum building.
But either way…
You keep moving.
Doing the Best We Can
That’s the truth of it, we do the best we can.
And its not perfect…its never all at once… and most importantly its not without setbacks.
But we cut one vine.
We loosen one knot.
We take one step.
And we protect ourselves along the way.
Because strength isn’t always loud.
Sometimes strength is simply choosing not to stay trapped.
Choosing to move with intention.
Even when you’re still tethered.
Ascending With Purpose
When Dark Summit Mindset began, the message was never about having it all figured out.
It’s about enduring.
It’s about climbing anyway.
It’s about carrying what we can…
and releasing what we no longer need.
And this is why February is an important month for all of us, it is not about instant transformation.
It’s about intention.
It’s about slowly breaking free.
It’s about preparing for impact…and still stepping forward.
Because no matter what season you’re in…
we ascend with purpose.
Always.
